Sock Club Dare: Are you a Cougar?

Thanks to Liz for forwarding this to me. It looks like they are defining cougar as single and over 35 so I guess that makes me one. Growl! I dare you to check it out, especially those of you who have businesses to promote. It could be a great opportunity for free publicity. Here's the invite:

There is a popular dating class currently in Los Angeles called Cougar Class. It's a 2-hour program that instructs women how to be more confident and secure in the dating scene. It has been featured on KTLA and is highlighted in this month's issue of Los Angeles Magazine.

We are now in the process of selecting featured students for our reality show that will be in production starting this summer. So if you can share interesting stories or entertaining tips about being an older woman within the singles scene, we want you to attend our next class and dazzle us with your energy, charisma, and honesty.

Our next Cougar Class is:
Thursday, May 1, 8:00PM
Sheraton Pasadena Hotel, 303 East Cordova Street, Pasadena, CA 91101

Please RSVP and tell us any relevant information that might describe you better to info@cougarclass.com

Out and About: Singles at the X-Bar on May 3

Kristine wanted to invite you all to a singles event organized by the Six Degrees Group:

If you have received this email it means that you are one of the "Chosen People" and your presence is requested to hang out for the night of Saturday, May 3 at the X-Bar. We're looking to gather a group of cool thirty and forty something professionals who are stable and sane (to be determined)...and still single. We thought we'd start a new trend in meeting people for those of us who need a break from the internet and blind dating. If 6 degrees of separation facilitates a love connection, we'll take all the credit.

If you're interested and interesting, come join us at the X-Bar in Century City at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel, 2025 Avenue of the Stars. $10 cover after 8:30pm. There's valet parking in the front.

Please forward this email to your most eligible single male and female friends, who are worthy.

Hope to see you there after 8:30pm.

Sock Club Perk: Stuck in your home office?

Feel like you're working alone all the time and not meeting new people, especially single men?

My architect pal Jerome has started a new venture, BLANKSPACES, for those seeking an alternative to working at home in Los Angeles.

Mention to him that I referred you and you get a special deal: 40 free hours at the Work Bar and 1/2 off memberships. Plus there's free parking and it's decorated with work from a local art gallery. You can also hold meetings in the multimedia conference room.

Jerome is a friendly fellow and many thanks to Dean for offering the discount. Check it out!
